wood-burning sauna by the beach, pool bar
with light lunches and cooling drinks, and
a fully licenced restaurant with an à la carte
menu.
– We also organise regular live music
events in the summer. And we’ve started
holding barbeque nights by the pool. It’s
been such a big success that we’ll keep it
going it for the coming seasons.
When you are young, it is nice to spend
some time without your parents.
– That’s why we have Kids Club!
Everyone between the age of three and
twelve can become a member and participate
in the events that we organise. There are
usually three to four activities every day.
We also have an activities leader who
gets children, teens and adults engaged in
activities together.
When you have grown tired of not doing
much, there are bikes, canoes and a rowing
boat available to rent.
– Lake Västra Silen has nice and clear
water, says Rebecca. It is part of the
Dalsland Canal. There are many lovely
sandy beaches nearby where you can go
ashore, with a guarantee that you’ll be
completely alone all day.
The von Wachenfeldt family from
Hammarö has come to Sommarvik for
the weekend and grab the opportunity to
challenge each other in a round of adventure
golf. The poodle Bondi also joins the game
in her own excited way.
– Dogs are more than welcome here!

– We’re an establishment that can offer
everything you need to get the experience
you’re looking for. Some people want to
relax, enjoy the peace and quiet. Others love
activities, entertainment and the selection
that we offer at our restaurant and pub.
Summer is peak season. There are a lot of
families who move out here and spend many
holiday weeks at Haganäset. For the children
there is Kids Club, which is open to everyone,
with no need to sign up beforehand. It is
nice to have a few hours with your friends
every day. There are two service buildings in
the area. They have recently been renovated
from top to bottom with a modern interior,
and are fully equipped to make life on the
campsite as comfortable as possible.
– It’s nice to see that more and more
guests come here out of the traditional peak
seasons. Winter is lovely here.
