Grøndalen Søndre
This is the perfect place for
a grand three-day wedding.
But Grøndalen Søndre Estate
in Trysil is also a place where
you can rent an entire 18th
century house and gather
family and friends for parties
and outdoor fun.
Welcome to a Norwegian country estate on
the mountain with a modern manor house
inspired by Swedish traditions.
From Trysil we head west, going up the
mountain.
– There are many interesting stories about
the estate and the area, says Britt Ingvil
Dolve Mysen who owns the estate and runs
the business together with her husband Leif
Einar Bae Mysen.
The MOUNTAIN landscape
spreads out
with clear visibility for miles and miles over
mountains and woodlands. From here you
can connect directly to all the ski tracks
in Trysil, covering over 110 kilometres.
Trysilsentret with lifts and slopes is only
a ten minute drive away.
– Here you can stay in the manor house
or one of our other houses, yet still have
access to all the activities that you’ll find in
Trysil – all year round.
The main building is in the traditional
yellow of a manor house, but it is practically
brand new.
– We’ve held many nice family gatherings
and birthdays here, says Britt Ingvil.
We make sure that all our guests get to
experience a unique stay with us, adapted
to suit their needs and wishes.
Ski teams on training camps, orchestras
and other associations are also among the
regulars who come to stay in the charming
old houses.
– Wildlife is all around us. You can get a
close look at moose as they pass by outside
from the window.
The manor house is the perfect place
for a grand wedding. In the municipality
of Trysil, the third largest in Norway, there
are many beautiful rural churches for the
wedding ceremony, and with the reception
and accommodation at Grøndalen Søndre
Estate, this special day will be something
extraordinary.
If there are more than 40 guests,
arrangements can be made with other
hotels in Trysil.
