in Elverum
Where the roads meet to
direct you in all possible new
directions, Elgstua in Elverum
stands proud.
In June 2013, the hotel chain Rica will also
open a brand new design hotel adjacent to
the traditional inn, with a focus on courses
and conferences.
– Elgstua and our moose statue really
are a landmark that most people know, says
sales manager Eli Vesti.
– We pride ourselves on our food, which
is mostly based on game meat. Our menu
also offers traditional homemade dishes.
We have a popular restaurant, which serves
roughly 600 guests every day.
In the kitchen at Elgstua, they take pride
in cooking everything from scratch, using
only high-quality and carefully selected
produce. The menus are composed with
local food producers in mind and are also
based on what nature has to offer – berries,
mushrooms, game and fish.
Opposite Elgstua
you will find Terningen
Arena, built for larger events, conferences,
trade fairs and sporting events. There is
also Hedmark University College, a few
offices and culture and music venues.
– We have a strategic location, which
is also why we’re now making new
investments, Eli continues.
Elgstua will become an interesting
combination of tradition from the old part
of the hotel and of contemporary design
inspired by nature in the new part. In total,
there will be 110 new rooms with 234 beds.
Ten of the rooms will be adapted for better
accessibility.
– We will also be able to accommodate
meetings in future and welcome groups and
conferences with up to 200 people.
