from an animal that has been allowed to
grow slowly. And in order to be called Pata
Negra, the meat has to come from black-
footed Iberian pigs, brought up on acorns.
– You could say that we serve a buffet in
menu form which you can modify according
to your own liking and wallet, he continues.

Even the ordering process is different –
it is also tied to the idea that you have been
invited to dinner at Lucifer’s. When you
have made your choice from the grill and
picked the sauce and side dishes to go with
your meat, you leave your signature and
give in to your desires.
Restaurang Häll is the latest of Stefan
Johansson’s ventures at Scandic Arvika.
Located next door to the spa hotel and the
popular restaurant Stefan på Statt, it is
an interesting complement to the already
established business. While this new
concept enriches Arvika with yet another
place to visit, it strengthens the hotel as
a destination in its own right.
– This is the place to come if you’re
looking for a nice and relaxing weekend
with your partner or a bigger group
of friends, says sales manager Thomas
Andersson. It’s easy to fill a couple of days
in Arvika with everything from nightlife
and culture, to good food and recreation.

– We’re proud of our heritage, says
Stefan. This city hotel is a nice combination
of old and new. One part was built between
1813 and 1815 and is the oldest building
in the centre of town. The newer part was
added in 1900.
– We have 73 rooms here and another
15 in the smaller section, our newly built
annex 50 metres down the street. It’s for
people who are looking for affordable
accommodation and who like a bit more
independence. At the same time you have
access to the hotel’s wide selection of
activities and service.
The spa
enhances your stay further. Here
you can get different treatments, relax in
the Jacuzzi or simply enjoy a tranquil swim
in the pool. The steam room is scented
with eucalyptus. There is juice, fruit and
coffee. The spa concept is based on Kerstin
Florian’s ideas and products.
– It’s not big, but we know that our
guests appreciate spending a relaxing time
here, says Thomas.
The conference facility of the hotel is
built to suit both large and small groups.
– We have five conference halls. The
largest one has the capacity to seat 90
people, Thomas continues. Then there are
the smaller rooms, perfect when you need
to split into smaller groups or don’t have
that many participants – up to ten people.
