selection and turns the spa and conference
hotel Scandic Arvika in Western Värmland,
into a destination in its own right, says
restaurant keeper and hotel director Stefan
Johansson.
A heavy wooden gate attracts attention.
It is not like any of the other doors leading
into small boutiques and stairwells along
Kyrkogatan in Arvika. But then again,
Restaurang Häll is not like any other
restaurant. It is driven by a strong force –
to awaken the devil in you. Here you can to
let go of all your inhibitions and enjoy your
meal to the fullest.

of inviting our guests home to the Devil
himself by creating an atmosphere that is
dangerously seductive in its use of colour
and light, heat and fire, and of course
passionate meat dishes.
If you are looking
for a nice evening with
excellent food and drink, Restaurang Häll
is the place. There is fire burning on ledges
along the walls. The wine cellar is open.
The round tables and deep red sofas give
all guests their own private space. If you are
feeling extra brave, you can book the table
in the Devil’s cage.
– It’s a symbol that you’re willing to
