There is plenty of water in River Trysilelva
as it rushes past, heading south towards
the Swedish border. By the shoreline, year
10 from the Brumunddal Youth School
in Ringsaker have gathered to share an
adventure that is likely to last them a
lifetime.
Rafting is the action-packed American
word for white water racing in an
inflatable raft. It is twelve degrees Celsius
in the water. Along the three kilometre
long stretch, the seven rafts with crew are
supposed to take on five awaiting rapids.
Preferably without any major problems,
but with plenty of fun and games.
– Before we head out, we provide
a thorough safety briefing, says Olve
Norderhaug from TrysilGuidene. Everyone
is taught how to help a friend out of the
water and how to control the raft with the
use of a paddle. The ride takes roughly one
hour and has plenty of challenges in store.

life vest, helmet and sports shoes. They are
