Get a diploma for summit climbs
Set your own goals during your stay in Femund Engerdal. One
challenge could be to climb as many mountain peaks as possible.
If you succeed in climbing at least eight of them you get a diploma!
Engerdal municipality covers a large area. You may not find the
highest mountain in Norway here, but the scenery and accessibility
can hardly get much better. 50 mountain summits have altitudes over
1,000 meters. Many of them offer excellent hiking trails and paths.
More and more people take the opportunity to get their diploma
in summit climbing here in Femund Engerdal. There are ten peaks
available at the moment. Happy climbing!

In the autumn

She is right. After the exit on Road 26
it only takes ten minutes for the altimeter
on the GPS of the car to show that we have
reached 800 meters and passed the tree
line. At an altitude close to 1,000 metres
we pass a jogger heading in the opposite
direction.
– It’s a big advantage to have such
quick access to the outdoors, Mia Faldmo
explains. We would welcome more visitors
though. There are vast areas to explore here
so there is no risk of over-crowding.
