Imagine if the 94 old oaks along the avenue could talk. They would tell you
all kinds of tales, going back centuries, about the people who lived here at
Duse Udde. However, using your imagination to travel back in time is not
such a poor alternative when you find yourself in a place like Krokstad Manor,
outside of Säffle.
– Here we find ourselves between Lake Vänern and reality, says
Marianne Krönsjö, who runs the manor. This is a place where you quickly
lose track of time and space. Where silence is golden and the demands
